FAQs
Do you have experience with Rats, Guinea pigs, Hamsters, and other small mammals?
Yes, I have owned a wide range of animals over the past 6 years from rabbits to hamsters as well as studying animal care and working in a petting zoo.
How many animals do you care for at once?
Currently, we are working at a small capacity. We can have one group of up to 4 guinea pigs. a couple of groups of up to 4 rats and so on. At most, we will have 20Â animals at one time with thorough cleaning involved.
My pet needs to go to the vet. Will you take them?
Yes, we have plenty of vet services in the area that provide 24-hour care. However, as stated in contracts vet bills are the owner's responsibility.
How is your feed and water schedule?
Food and water will be changed twice a day morning and evening. this is so we can clean all food and water bowls to prevent the spread of diseases. However, if you would like to keep the same schedule they have at home we are completley adaptable.
How often will you clean enclosures to stop cross contamination?
All enclosures will be thoroughly disinfected before and after animals have been inside them, Spot cleaned daily and the room they're kept in will have plenty of ventilation and be cleaned daily.
What qualifications do you have?
I have a level 2 and 3 in animal care as well as a diploma in pet sitting, pet first aid, and dog grooming.
What enclosures will the animals have?
There is a page attached called "enclosures" which shows what your pets will be staying in. Guinea pigs will be allowed to free roam as they please with access to a cage, all other animals will be kept in a sanitary cage with an hour of playtime outside the enclosure per day.
Can we supply you with our own cage and food?
Absolutely! we really encourage owners to bring in their own food and enclosures for animals so that they feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
